About Phyllis Macaluso

F. Phyllis Macaluso is a regular contributor to the TPK blog (you can see all of her tutorials here). A lifelong lover of the arts, watercolourist, calligrapher, Sumi-e artist, and a 2013 Graceful Envelope Contest winner, Phyllis has a special passion for graceful lettering and embellishing of envelopes, cards, and documents for special occasions. Her mentors and teachers include Master Penmen Harvest Crittenden and Bill Lilly. She is a graduate of McMaster University and member of the Sumi-e Artists of Canada, and is a certified cursive handwriting instructor and a Certified Zentangle Teacher. Her work has been featured in many publications, and she has collaborated on projects with PBS, Sakura of America, and The Art Gallery Annex of Hamilton. She currently does freelance work and teaching in her studio, and teaches workshops throughout Ontario, Canada. Phyllis also privately teaches students via Zoom, and she teaches online classes on Acorn Arts.
