Can Adbe Illustrastor /Creative Cloud be used in place of Adobe Photoshop?

    • Lindsey Bugbee

Hi Bridget! Unfortunately, no — Illustrator is very different from Photoshop. however, people have been experiencing success with Adobe Elements!

  2. Ghayathri

Completed the course just now & I highly recommend it! Lindsey explains everything clearly and in detail, perfect! Thank you Lindsey! 🙂

This is incredible! I can’t wait to take this course!! 😍😍😍 Do you have a particular scanner & printer you recommend? For small at home projects? I have sent all my work out, thus far.

    • Lindsey Bugbee

Hi! I mostly send out my projects (business cards, invitations) for professional printing. At home I use an Epson Workforce 2650 for scanning and casual printing. 🙂

This is a great course for learning to use Photoshop and digitize lettering. The eBook is well written and very clear with lots of screen shots to explain the steps. The videos are also excellent and easy to follow. I am using Photoshop Elements 11 with different screens, but the Expert mode uses all the same tools; now I know what to do with them. I have learned a ton of information and highly recommend this class. Just what I have needed for the past several years.Thank you, Lindsey, for creating this course.

    Hi Lindsey,

Can the program photoshop be purchased or is it only a monthly fee app?

I’m looking forward to doing this class.

      Hi Ethel!

Adobe switched to a subscription-based model last year (or maybe the year before that?) to maximize profits and help users stay up-to-date with Photoshop versions. You can pay by the month, or by the year: either way, Adobe automatically charges your credit card. 🙂 I hope this information helps!

So excited about this Lindsey! I’ve been interested in making my calligraphy digitized but didn’t know where to start. This is PERFECT!

    • Lindsey Bugbee

I’m so happy to hear that!! I’ve totally been there, so I designed the course to cater to digitizing beginners — no stone was left unturned, and if you have questions, I hope you won’t hesitate to ask! 🙂

This looks like just what I am looking for. I am definitely going to purchase this. April will be digitizing month!

Your creativity is going to ruin me. I have already bought all but one Lettering for a Latte as well as several other items in your catalog.

    • Lindsey Bugbee

I love the idea of making April “Digitizing Month”! 🙂 I love that you are enjoying everything — I’m not sure which Latté set you’re missing, but if you have the Beth, my next big project is a re-vamp of that worksheet set. It was created a couple of years ago and needs a total makeover! If you currently own it, it will be available to you for free!

Can’t wait to sign up as I am having the same issue. (Even though I have worked with photoshop often) I’m excited to hopefully open an online etsy shop soon!

  10. Arlen

Can’t wait — I am definitely signing up! Curious about vectoring. Is that covered?

    • Lindsey Bugbee

Hi Arlen! Adobe Illustrator (the program you use to create vector images) isn’t covered in this course, but next year I’d like to make an Illustrator add-on so people can learn how to make vector art from their calligraphy/illustrations. 🙂 For now, I wanted to focus on Photoshop as I believe it’s more beginner-friendly!
