The Soot Black Ziller Ink is as good as everyone says! It does not run or bleed.

I just love this ink. It is so luscious! I have just used it for the first time and I know that I will run out soon. Next time I will buy multiple bottles. Wondering how it compares to Zillers other black?

I think I found a new favorite black ink…and that is saying something. I have been using speedball and Dr. Martin’s for over 20 years!! Thank you Lindsey!!!

I got this ink for Christmas and tried it for the first time today – I am so impressed with how smoothly it flows and what fine hairlines I can get with it. I love this ink! I’m looking forward to using it with watercolors too.

This is by far my favorite calligraphy ink to write with! It flows beautifully and makes nice and thin hairline strokes. It also dries matte, which I like.

I bought this ink for my Basic Calligraphy class and it has served me well. I watercolor over my work a lot and needed a waterproof ink that would allow me to do both calligraphy and watercolor.

I’m late in writing this review. I really thought I had written one. I ordered this ink on October 10, 2019 and it arrived with a cracked cap. The ink was well packaged so it didn’t damage anything else in the order or make a huge mess. I contacted Lindsey just to let her know what happened but that I did not want a replacement as there was very little loss in ink volume and was easily transferred to one of the jars that I also ordered from her.

She being an amazing shop owner that she is sent me a replacement bottle anyways. Noting that the original Ziller jar is so fun to dip out off and she didn’t want me to miss out on the experience.

I usually ink over my watercolors. I thought for sure the “professional waterproof technical” pens really were waterproof. Huh! I never would have known if I didn’t take the maps eclass hear at TPK! So I just got my Ziller ink today and did a test of both painting watercolor over each. The Ziller ink remained bright and clear but the other added some gray to the colorwash and lost its crispness. Thank you Lindsey for this great ink!! I plan on never running out!!

This is great ink. I bought it to paint with. I hope to try writing with it too at some point. Thank you!
