We’re reaching that point in winter where the holidays are behind us, and the season’s quiet beauty takes center stage. My goal with these medallions is to celebrate the essence of winter itself, apart from the festivities. The four medallions in this worksheet highlight the season’s natural charm, featuring elements like holly, snowflakes, berries, and feathers.
As with all calligraphy medallions, slow and steady is always the best idea. First, draw your guidelines, taking care to divide your two circles into eight equal slices. Then, follow the step-by-step instructions to make your chosen medallion. Be sure to pause when necessary to let your ink dry!
After finishing, allow the ink to dry completely before erasing the pencil guidelines. You’ll be amazed at how polished and beautiful your medallion appears without the extra lines! Then, take a step back and admire your work.
