In this lesson, we’re going to “ink” over our pencil draft. You’ll glean valuable drawing techniques and tips that will help you to make both this map and future maps!
Lesson 3: Adding Watercolor to Landmarks
In this lesson, I’ll teach you how to use watercolor to add dimension and character to your landmarks.
Lesson 4: The Big, Bad Background
In this lesson, we are going to take on the #1 thing that will make or break an illustrated watercolor map: the background. This will be the part that takes the longest! Tuck in, have patience, and give yourself at least a couple of days to finish.
Lesson 5: Digitizing the Map
In this lesson, we’ll go over how to use Photoshop to prepare your map for digital printing. This lesson will be very helpful if you plan on duplicating your map, either for use in a wedding suite or as an art print!
