I love receiving cards … but more than that, I love giving handmade cards, cards you can’t find anywhere else. Handmade cards are the best.
Maybe it’s because I’m a Whole Foods/any coffee shop addict, but I love chalkboards. It’s even better when the chalkboard has an intricate, fun design. In order to celebrate this holiday season and my chalkboard obsession, I created this chalkboard Christmas card for two very good friends of mine.

I have been making handmade cards like a fiend lately. I’m in love with handmade cards, particularly those made from vintage books and publications. Vintage (1930s-1970s) books are generally a dream to make cards from because they’re made of stronger stuff than more recently released books.

I love this menu from the Frasca Caffe here in Boulder. This is the outside cover of the menu; the inside reveals an array of Italian sweet treats and sandwiches. I believe this is the work of photographer Dave Woody, who also took photographs for the Frasca owners’ other restaurant’s website, Pizzeria Locale. I really like how whoever designed this menu took a compelling yet simple picture and added the white text.
