I generally create blog posts that focus on artistic projects, so today’s post offers a bit of a variation! Instead of flexing your creative muscle, you’ll be using your memory and research skills to fill out this calligraphy crossword. Be the first to solve it, and you’ll win a $50 gift certificate to Paper & Ink Arts (update: the puzzle has been solved)! Fill it out anyway, and you’ll be entered into a raffle to win a set of Dr. Ph. Martin’s Iridescent inks. Read on to learn more!
You can download the calligraphy crossword puzzle for free by clicking here. The crossword will challenge you with 22 writing- and calligraphy-related vocabulary terms. Like most crossword puzzles, the answers range between simple and difficult!
If you’re feeling confident about your answers, you can use a dip pen and ink to fill out the puzzle! Try writing your “across” answers using Kaitlin Style calligraphy …
… Then use block lettering to fill in the “down” answers.
You don’t have to fill out the puzzle in this way, but it’s a fun variation!
Like all crosswords, this calligraphy crossword puzzle was made for your entertainment and enjoyment. Still, I think it’s fun to raise the stakes a bit! In lieu of the social media giveaway that I run every weekend, I will be running a couple of giveaways based around this puzzle.

This calligraphy crossword is fairly difficult, so I think that you should have the opportunity to win a prize regardless of whether you solve it or not! Give the crossword a try, then post a photo of it on social media (either on TPK Facebook page, or tagged @thepostmansknock and #thepostmansknock on Instagram). The puzzle doesn’t need to be completely filled out … the point is that you gave it a shot!
Each photo will be considered as an entry, and you can enter twice by posting both to Facebook and Instagram! I will write down the name associated with each entry on a piece of paper and put it in a bowl. Then, on Monday, April 24th, at noon MDT, I will post a video showing the random selection of three entries out of the bowl of entries. Those three entries will win the three Iridescent colors of his or her choice! Note that if you do not have a social media account, you may email me your entry instead (lindsey@thepostmansknock.com).
