Women's History Month worksheet to show strength and appreciation

In both my personal life and through TPK, I interact daily with women who embody resilience and strength. They have endured hardships, celebrated remarkable achievements, and found ways to keep moving forward. It’s an honor to know that many of them use this website’s tutorials and resources as a spark for their creativity.

In our day-to-day interactions with the women we admire, we rarely get the chance to make them feel seen. Many of those women probably don’t realize how much you admire them because expressing it can feel awkward. That’s the roadblock the Women’s History Month Strength Celebration Worksheet aims to remove. So: download it, print it, and send it to as many women as you can! They all deserve to see themselves as you see them.

    About the Worksheet Design

In 2021, TPK released a Women’s History Month appreciation worksheet that embraces a similar concept. I love that worksheet and have sent out at least one every March since then! Now that a few years have passed, I feel ready for a fresh design and new prompts. So, I whipped out my Pilot Falcon fountain pen (freshly loaded with Noodler’s Bulletproof Black ink) to make a floral illustration. I’ve been using this fountain pen for illustration a lot over the past year; the effect is somewhat similar to drawing with a Nikko G nib.

A fountain pen works well for the crosshatching technique.

I love drawing with a fountain pen, but the drying time can be a bit slow. As I waited for the floral border to dry before scanning, I penciled in the worksheet title. Then, I used sumi ink, a Brause EF66 nib, and an oblique pen to finalize the lettering.

Once all the ink was ready, I scanned my worksheet components …

… and I put everything together in a way that encourages beautiful words.

    Strength Celebration Worksheet

As I added prompts and guidelines to the worksheet, I imagined all the heartfelt messages it will hold. My hope is that it serves as a simple but powerful way to uplift the women who inspire you, giving them a tangible reminder of their impact.

A Celebration of Strength, Resilience, and Legacy

I’ve already sent out a couple of these worksheets, and I plan to complete more this week because the process itself has been so meaningful. Taking the time to reflect on the worksheet prompts has brought little gems of appreciation to the surface—things that often get tucked away in the corners of my mind.

A celebration of women this Women's History Month

On TPK, worksheets like this one are often overlooked in favor of rote exercises (think: calligraphy drills). While I’ll never discourage anyone from doing calligraphy drills, I urge you to fill out at least one WHM Strength Celebration Worksheet. Truly. It’s an endorphin boost: you’ll feel a giddy hop in your heart when you think about the recipient reading what you wrote.

And thank you—for being here, supporting this creative space, and making it possible for me to create resources like this. It’s because of you that TPK exists, and it’s an honor to be part of your journey.

    Warmly,
