Calligraphy starter kit dimensions are 9.75″ long x 7″ wide x 2.25″ tall (24.75 cm x 18 cm x 5.75 cm).
The self-paced Beginner’s Modern Calligraphy Online Course is every bit as effective as my in-person calligraphy workshops. There are no time or demonstration constraints, so I was able to include absolutely everything that you need to know! On film, I am able to communicate concepts from different shooting angles, and you can pause and re-watch videos as needed. If you don’t quite understand how to do something, there’s a “Discussion” portion under each lesson where you can ask questions. Lessons include a short quiz and homework assignments. Note that this lesson includes a 10-page printable workbook that is separate from the course workbook. If you choose to complete this lesson, you will need a printer.
The course ends with a short video explaining your post-course homework. The total viewing time for this course is approximately 4.5 hours, but I’d recommend allocating two months to do everything that you’re asked to do in the course.

I purchased this kit a couple of months ago. I was so excited when it arrived. It has been a lifelong dream to learn true calligraphy. While life is keeping me very busy post Hurricane Michael and still searching for a new home, I have not had the time to start using the workbook plus I plan to take the class. I spent many years dancing around the idea of trying calligraphy, and bought a few kits to spark inspiration. None of them stuck though- the instructions were not detailed enough, and the items were all cheap and low-quality. However, I knew I had found a gem when a friend gifted me this kit! The supplies inside has lasted me many hours of practice, and the packaging is absolutely beautiful (I still have the box!). This was honestly one of the best gifts I have ever received!

Wonderful way to start something beautiful! I bought this kit around summer 2020 along with online instruction course. It was the BEST during quarantine! It was calming to practice and I made some impressive cards for family. Be warned: you WILL get hooked and need more colors if ink and variety of nibs! Enjoy!

Delightful…. Was so excited and everything about and in this box was so thoughtful and made me feel so special. Loved the cloth design and that it had little ink spot artistically designed into it so you didn’t mind getting it dirty…. And the little ceramic water cup was amazing…. I had to start right away.

I am also using The Postman’s Knock Improve your Handwriting course to help but actually I think just going through the motions of these calligraphy exercises are helping my handwriting tremendously.
