2016 is coming to a close, which means it’s the perfect time to reflect on everything that’s happened this year. For me, that reflection has meant realizing how many creative, amazing people I have had the opportunity to interact with because of this website! I am consistently amazed by how self-motivated, positive, and artistic the people who follow TPK are; and this community motivates me to keep improving my own work!
I could never thank you enough, but I like to try by offering goodies every once in a while. Today, then, my holiday gift to you is a post full of art and calligraphy giveaways! Under the description of each giveaway item, you’ll see a Rafflecopter widget. Use it to enter the giveaway for each item that catches your eye. You don’t need a social media account to enter; if you aren’t on social media, you can just use the “Answer a Question” option!
1. $50 Gift Certificate to Paper & Ink Arts (One Winner)
Paper & Ink Arts is a dangerous place for a wallet. I always go to their website intending to order one small tool (like a nib), and by the time I get to checkout, I’ve got that nib … plus inks, paints, and pens. If you’re anything like me, then this gift certificate will come in handy! You can use it to buy anything your heart desires off of Paper & Ink Arts. You may enter the drawing for this prize in the widget below:

2. Finetec Golds Palette (Two Winners)
The Finetec Golds palette provides a gorgeous way to add sparkle to your holiday envelopes! Finetec is actually watercolor paint, but you can add water to it and brush it on the back of your nib to write with it (learn how in this blog post). I love combining Finetec gold with other colors to make beautiful mail art like the rose-themed Janet Style envelope below!
If you’re intimidated at the prospect of using this palette for calligraphy, know that it’s also wonderful for painting! I have used it many a time to add a little bit of sparkle to watercolor artwork. It’s a beautiful palette, and no matter what level of artist or calligrapher you consider yourself to be, you’ll love it! You can enter to win the Finetec Golds palette in the widget below:

3. Set of Micron Pens (Two Winners)
If you’re into hand-lettering or illustration, you will absolutely love Micron pens! The pens are archival, which means that any art piece you create with them will last for a long, long time. You will be winning a set of six pens, all with different sizes of tips from itty-bitty to quite large. That means you can switch up the pens to accommodate a number of different projects!
I use Micron pens for many applications, from Zentangle-like pieces to written correspondence. Probably my favorite use for them, however, is creating George Style lettering! The 01 pen allows you to draw clear, tiny diagonal lines within letters. You may enter to win one of two sets of Micron pens in the Rafflecopter widget below:

4. Set of Three McCaffery’s Inks (One Winner)
If you like earthy ink colors, then you’ll really enjoy McCaffery’s inks. McCaffery’s ink is an iron gall formula that’s handmade by Neil McCaffery, and it delivers results that never disappoint! This ink gives you fantastic light and dark variations, and the sheen is wonderful. When the ink dries, it’s matte, but it’s got this luminosity to it that is difficult to achieve with other inks.
The ink writes beautifully, and it’s also fun to paint with because it has a nice, vintage feel to it! I used it to fill in the mountains, trees, and sky in the artistic return address above, and I love the old-timey effect. This is ink that will allow you to flex your creative muscle — feel free to experiment! You may enter to win the set of three McCaffery’s inks (Brown, Violet, and Green) in the Rafflecopter widget below:

5. Tachikawa Pen and Nib Set (Two Winners)
The Tachikawa T40 pen is one of my favorites because it has a nice, cushy grip. It’s also one of the few calligraphy pens that can accommodate a crow quill nib (used to draw the fork pictured below) and a regular nib like the Nikko G. As if the Tachikawa T40 couldn’t get any better, it also comes with a cap … which makes it perfect for holiday travel!
You can use this pen for drawing or for calligraphy! It’s a versatile, ergonomic writing tool that I know you’re going to love. If you’re a winner in this giveaway, you will receive the following:
- 2 Nikko G Nibs
- 2 Brause EF66 Nibs
- 1 Leonardt Principal Nib
- 1 Tachikawa T-99 Maru (Crow Quill) Nib
- Leonardt Nib Tin
- Tachikawa T40 Wooden Pen
You may enter to win one of the two Tachikawa T40 pen plus nib sets in the Rafflecopter widget below:

6. Original Mail Art (One Winner)
I feel a little bit silly doing this, but at the same time, I think it will be fun: I’d like to send one winner a piece of mail. You’ll receive a decorated envelope with some neat little goodies inside!
I’ll be honest: I have no idea what your envelope is going to look like. It will depend on a number of factors including your location, what sorts of things you seem like based on your Pinterest or Instagram profiles (if you’re on social media), and your answer to the giveaway question in the Rafflecopter widget. The envelope art will be customized for you, so for now I can only promise a fun little surprise in your mailbox without being able to divulge any other details!
