Sketchbooking is one of my favorite ways to slow d Sketchbooking is one of my favorite ways to slow down and bring a little peace into the day. 🕊️

I usually start with a quick pencil outline, then add watercolor, ink, or colored pencil — whatever feels right in the moment. 🎨✏️

The word “sketchbook” can sound a little intimidating, but truly, anyone can start one. It’s just like a journal — there’s no right or wrong way to do it.

If you’re looking for inspiration, I love @sdionbakerdesign’s book “Draw Your Day” — it’s so encouraging. You can also check out the Sketchbook category on the TPK blog (link in profile) for ideas and tutorials. 💡

(Shout out to @pukupukucafe for having a cool logo that looks great in a sketchbook layout! ☕️)

Spotted—again!: “The Calligraphy Book” on a Spotted—again!: “The Calligraphy Book” on a bookshelf in Ireland. 🍀 I didn’t see it personally (but, gah, I wish—I’d love nothing more than to browse this bookshelf while eating Irish soda bread slathered with Kerrygold); instead, reader Shane G. sent me this photo via email after seeing the Thailand post. Shane, I’m not sure of your IG handle, but I hope you see this and know that I appreciate the pic! It’s been SO COOL to see all the places that this book now calls home. I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has welcomed it with open arms! I wasn’t sure if all the time I spent making it would be worthwhile (there were some days it felt impossible to balance family life, TPK, and writing/photographing/coming up with projects for the book), but the warm reception has made me so glad I took the leap. Thank you, thank you! 🙏

If “The Calligraphy Book” has found a spot on your shelf (or workspace, or coffee table!), I’d love to see it. 📚 Feel free to send a photo or tag me in a post or reel!

My husband’s uncle gave us the coolest collectio My husband’s uncle gave us the coolest collection of Spanish children’s books (that he had written!) while we were in Peru a couple of months ago, and I wanted to send him something delightful in return. For me, that starts with a beautiful envelope—and a few playful arrows never hurt. ✨

These hand-drawn arrows (from a printable on the TPK Blog) add a whimsical, artistic touch that pairs nicely with bold lettering. If you’re taking the Hand Lettering 101 eCourse, a project like this is a fun way to put your new skills to use! → You can find the arrow printable and a tutorial for making an envelope design like this at the link in my profile. ←

@nin.heartmadehappiness made my day with this swee @nin.heartmadehappiness made my day with this sweet photo and message:

“Hello from Thailand! 🇹🇭 I just got your book a few days ago (last one in Bangkok, I guess). Kob khun ka 😍”

And thanks to a few too many episodes of The White Lotus, I even knew what that meant! 😉

It’s such a joy to see The Calligraphy Book finding its way to cozy corners around the world—on bookstore shelves in Sydney, in hygge nooks in Scandinavia, and now in beautiful Bangkok. 🌿

If you ever spot it out in the wild, I hope you’ll flip through it and maybe even bring it home. Creating this book was truly a labor of love (I hand-drew every single illustration!), and getting to see where it ends up—and knowing it’s inspiring your creativity—makes every bit of that work feel worthwhile. ✨
