The TPK holiday worksheet printable is a tradition that I started in 2016! Around this time every year, I come up with a few different holiday-themed calligraphy pieces and combine them into a worksheet. That worksheet only is available through December 26th — but! — like the Ghost of Christmas Past, it makes an appearance the next holiday season (and the next, and the next).
This new holiday worksheet is different from others in that it incorporates a lot of reader feedback. Someone asked for simple holiday doodles, which is brilliant! Sometimes the difference between a holiday-themed project and an everyday project appears in a couple of illustrated snowflakes, after all.
The worksheet goes on to provide you with lessons over how to make four different holiday greetings. Each greeting starts with a pencil draft, which you then trace over with your dip pen (or a small-tipped brush pen)!
Every project included in the worksheet has guided practice opportunities. Consider these opportunities your “training wheels” before you create these projects on high-quality paper!
The last project in the worksheet pack is a flourished wreath. It’s simple to create and looks amazing on gift tags, greeting cards, or mail art!
Once again, TPK readers had a brilliant idea: include an exclusive tutorial as part of the worksheet set! I’ve never done that before, but it makes a lot of sense. So, I came up with a Christmas card tutorial that utilizes the “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” Tree project from the worksheet. In the tutorial, you’ll learn how to draft out the tree on a blank watercolor card, then fill it in with energetic watercolors and metallic ornaments!
The 2019 Holiday Calligraphy Worksheet will live in the TPK catalog until December 26 of this year! After that, it will disappear until mid-November of next year.
