I’ve tried a lot of ways to store ink over the years, and this little glass jar is the one I keep coming back to. Here’s why I like it:

While the gold screw-top lid on this jar seals tightly, I wouldn’t recommend packing it in your luggage for air travel — as with any ink container, changes in cabin pressure can lead to messy leaks. If you’re planning to get creative on the go, consider using the
watercolor calligraphy technique
with a dry watercolor palette once you reach your destination.

That said, this jar is perfect for home use. Whether you’re storing your favorite bottled ink, a custom-mixed color, or a powdered pigment you’ve mixed with water, the jar adds a bit of charm and cohesion to your creative space.     Very pretty and sturdy jar with a secure lid! Came packaged in bubble wrap so it didn’t get damaged in transit. Has a wide mouth which made dipping the nibs in ink easier. Great for storing ink when traveling. Overall, a very useful jar and a chic addition to your desk to encourage you to start creating calligraphy every time you see it!

    These are the perfect little glass jars for ink. Especially for Dr. Ph. Martin’s Bombay inks or similar bottled inks as they have such a small opening, it doesn’t allow you to dip your calligraphy nib in them easily. I’m very happy with their simple elegance.
