You might remember a certain coffee calligraphy tutorial from a couple of months ago. The envelope I made in that tutorial had a specific purpose: to grace the cover of Calligraphy Crush Magazine. Today, I’m pleased to announce that Issue 8 of Calligraphy Crush is available, and it’s chock-full of inspiration from so many creatives whom I admire and look up to! TPK subscribers will enjoy a 15% discount on Issue 8 through November 10th. Getting to Know Simon of Scribblers
Meet Simon
Question: Nearly anyone in the UK who has an interest in calligraphy or drawing has heard of or ordered from Scribblers. Your stock is vast! When and why did you start Scribblers, and what was the main item (or items) that you sold?
Scribblers actually began in around 1998 in our spare bedroom! At that time, we were living in a small house in Lowestoft, and I taught calligraphy classes in the evening. The result of her generosity is this amazing desktop wallpaper, which she created using watercolor and her original calligraphy. You can use this background on your phone, computer, or even just print it out and hang it on the wall.

Artisan-Made Calligraphy Pen Holders
In the past, I have written using three calligraphy pen holders: a black plastic Speedball straight holder, a black plastic Speedball oblique holder, and a wooden/cork General’s straight holder. My favorite of the three was the General’s straight holder because it has a better feel than the plastics; but at times it gets a bit bulky.
