This oblique pen is custom fitted for the Brause Rose nib in order to accommodate its thin, delicate shank.

  • Choose between a wooden oblique or a resin swirled “Pretty in Pink” pen … they’re both excellent choices.
  • This pen has a brass flange, which you can adjust if the angle doesn’t feel just right for you. (Read about why brass is best here.)
  • I’ve custom-fitted each and every flange on these pens to snugly hold a Brause Rose nib.
  • The resin used to create the “Pretty in Pink” pen is lightweight and smooth, which makes for a pleasant writing experience!
  • The finish on the wooden pen has a smooth, contoured feel that’s classic and delightful.

Description

These oblique pens are specifically fitted by me for a Brause Rose nib. While some left-handed people might enjoy using this pen, it is intended for right-handed writers! Note that for the “Pretty in Pink” pens, no two pens are alike: the pink swirls are random and lovely. This pen does not include the nib, which needs to be purchased separately.

    The only reason it’s 4 stars is due to the difficulty of keeping the Brause Rose nib in place. It tends to slide out/move easier than I’ve experienced with putting Nikko G nibs in a flange that is fit for it. Any advice/help would be appreciated!

    I held off a while on getting thi, but it just kept calling my back. I didn’t think I needed another oblique pen. I was wrong. Working with this pen is a pure pleasure. I have a long way to go and not enough time to get there, but this pen makes me want to practice more often; dishes be damned.

    I am not really a pink person, however I wanted to have an oblique pen for the Brause extra fine nib and wanted to distinguish it from my regular oblique pen so it was easy to see which nib was in which pen holder.     This is my new favorite nib holder. It is absolutely gorgeous!! I love how comfortable it is to write with. I do have to say that the color, in my mind, is more like a very pale peachy color than pink, but still, it’s really stunning!!
