I love Lindsey’s video courses. I have not completed the Intermediate Modern Calligraphy course, because I was pleasantly surprised to learn how much I enjoyed bouncy calligraphy. I spent a few weeks writing in that style and now I am taking my time with the flourishing section. It’s really great to be able to work at the things I’m interested in at my own speed and not have to be pushed forward before I’m ready to move on. I was also very inspired to try different inks, paints, nibs, and papers. I’m having a great time!

I’ve done a few online calligraphy courses, this is by far the best. Lindsey gives so much content and provides oodles of practise sheets. Like another reviewer, I printed them on inkjet paper and the ink does bleed. Lindsey does recommend the best paper to use though so can’t complain. I thoroughly enjoyed this course and what’s more, it’s great value for money .

This is a great course! I am still in the middle of it, and am excited for the projects at the end! The experience is a little affected by the fact that I had to print the worksheet out on regular printer paper, and the ink bleeds. The lessons on ink, nibs, etc. are really helpful, and although I already knew a lot of it from reading a lot of TPK blog posts, it is super nice for an intermediate calligrapher. It is great that Lindsey provides so much practice with the different styles. I also really like the two new styles that are used—I don’t think that I have seen them anywhere else on TPK. I especially like the flourished style! I would recommend this course to anyone at the intermediate stage in calligraphy.

I’ve taken a fair number of structured online calligraphy courses in a similar format and while I’ll not compare them by name (a calligrapher never tells right!) I have to say that Lindsey’s course is easily amongst my top 3 and this is the surprising thing, it was so much more affordable that those other courses. So if you are after a value laden course, with professionally recorded lessons and help along the way from Lindsey – then look no further, this one is a no-brainer.
