Description

You can download a free sample of seven pages from this worksheet set by clicking here.

Kaitlin Style calligraphy has a casual elegance to it because of its artistic, bohemian whimsy. The best part? No need to draw out pencil guidelines! You can free-hand the Kaitlin for use on any envelope or project without worrying about making guides. To begin, you’ll need a straight dip pen or an oblique dip pen (whichever you prefer), a Nikko G nib (for beginners) or a Brause EF66 nib (for intermediate), sumi or India ink, and a printer and paper. I highly recommend printing TPK calligraphy worksheets out on 32# laserjet paper (you can use laserjet paper in any printer). It will be easiest to fill out this worksheet if you have taken the Beginner’s Modern Calligraphy Online Course, though many learners have worked through the worksheet without doing so.

This set is Amazing!! I have always loved calligraphy and wanted to learn, but really had no idea where to start. A few months ago, I stumbled onto Lindsey and this website and was immediately addicted! Kaitlin was the first set of worksheets I bought. By learning faux calligraphy first with gel pens, it took all the intimidation out of the process! When I moved onto a dip pen, everything seemed to come easier. Since I was familiar with the style by that point, I was able to concentrate on the intricacies of learning to use a dip pen. This is the perfect starting point… and to see the whimsical flow of the lettering on paper is IMMEDIATELY gratifying!! I still can’t get over the quality of information for $5.00. This is a no brainer! Thanks Lindsey!

When I decided on learning calligraphy, Lindsey’s amazing Kaitlin style calligraphy was the first thing that came into my mind. This worksheet is a truckload of information and each and every detail of the style has been carefully explained. For $5 this is definitely a steal. Instead of making things complicated , Lindsey carefully starts with the faux calligraphy technique that is perfect for beginners. I really would recommend this to anyone who is willing to learn modern calligraphy!

I found the worksheets to be very useful! However, the only issues I had was that two of the letters on the Letter Formation Practice worksheet did not match how the letter was written on the Ghost Tracer Worksheet. For example, the capital letter “M” and “N” are missing loops on the Letter Formation Practice worksheet. I would also like to ask if there is a worksheet that describes how best to connect the letters together. I am practicing how to write each letter using the tracer worksheets and letter formation worksheets but then when I get to the Word Practice worksheet I get stuck because I’m not sure what’s the best way to connect the letters together so that it is still looks like the Kaitlin Style and not just my own cursive writing. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

I love this style so, so much!! I learned calligraphy quite a few years ago and it was super formal and structured. Then I started to see this informal modern style in places and I was in love!! My hand, however, just didn’t want to cooperate! I tried so hard on my own!! Somehow I found this website and there was this information for 5 bucks!! I didn’t hesitate!! The instructions are easy to follow and I printed out the practice pages many times!! It took some time unlearning in years of structure and I still practice this a lot!! But it is such a fun and playful style and I am really excited to have added it to my calligraphy!!

This was my first introduction into calligraphy and is still one of my favorite resources for creating faux and pointed pen calligraphy. This is also my favorite calligraphy style because it’s easily tweaked to fit your own personal writing style or specific projects. It’s an amazing value that you will use over and over again.

One of the best parts of this worksheet is that it encourages you to learn and use the faux calligraphy before jumping into the “real” stuff. This is immensely helpful in familiarizing one with the up and downstrokes as well as giving a general feel for how the lettering should look. Highly recommend!

I purchased the Kaitlin calligraphy worksheet set and I’ve really enjoyed working with it! The approach to do “faux calligraphy” first in order to get comfy with the letterforms is a unique and non-intimidating way to learn calligraphy that worked really well for me – so much of calligraphy is about muscle memory so if you can get your hands used to it while using a pen, it’s way easier once you use an actual nib. I purchased a few different styles, but Kaitlin is by far my favorite – it’s modern but still so elegant. Would highly recommend.

I love the Premium Worksheets from The Postman’s Knock! These are easily the VERY BEST $5 purchase out of all my creative splurges. With 20 pages of letter formation, word practice, tracer sheets, stroke reference sheets, tips and calligraphy explanations, I always feel like I get way more than I paid for! Truly this is more of a book or lesson series than a simple worksheet set. Additionally, I love the fact that Lindsey is passionate about her work and a true artist. She is helpful and provides excellent customer service, and really hopes that her customers will advance in their ability to create their own artwork as well. I purchased this set a few months ago and keep it handy on my desk to refer to often–it was more than just a worksheet, but has become part of my hand lettering reference library. For the price of a latte, there is nothing better to spend your money on!

I’ve wanted to learn how to do modern calligraphy styles for a while and had no idea where to start. Copperplate and Spencerian still intimidate me and Lindsey’s Kaitlin worksheets were the perfect place to start. This is the best $5.00 investment I’ve made in a calligraphy resource (“Learn Calligraphy For a Latte”)! The worksheets are so easy to follow and practice. I love that I can print some of the practice sheets multiple times on my own printer. The easy-to-follow instructions and this forgiving Kaitlin style is just what I needed to give me the confidence to venture from my Pilot G2 into the pointed nib and oblique holder. My goal towards the end of 2014 was to address all my holiday cards by hand in modern calligraphy. I achieved that goal and have received compliments from my recipients! The Kaitlin worksheets are worth their weight in gold. The best $5 I’ve ever spent!

Lindsey is a true one-of-a-kind instructor and calligrapher. For $5.00, this is an unbelievable value. The Kaitlin Style is so fun and with her directions on where to do the downstrokes and upstrokes, it makes so much more sense! I had never known about “faux calligraphy” before and often wondered how calligraphers make writing on chalkboards and such look like pointed pen work…with these instructions, it is demystified! I am so excited to try the faux calligraphy on a chalkboard soon. I highly recommend these downloads from Lindsey…you won’t be disappointed!
