After following the beginner course and having practiced the calligraphy worksheets, I think this course was a real level-booster!
Some of the questions that I have encountered during the beginner training ( such as paper choices, nib choices, ink… etc..) have all been covered in a more organized and detailed presentation in the intermediate course.
Flourishing was also something that I could not get the hang of, and again, in this course this part starts by giving you a good system to follow, later showing you through different examples of practical uses the variation of flourishing.
The best is, one can always replay the video, and reprint the worksheets , work on the whole course in your own tempo. I find it rather relaxing this way, as I tend to go back and forth with the course, sometimes I prefer to advance, othertimes I just want to go back and practice the drills.
This course also give you projects to accomplish, pushing you to use creativity and the skills learned. All in all a really fun course to take that would definitely boost your calligraphy level, and make you want to try out many more creative ways of applying the craft.

This is an excellent course. Lindsey is a great teacher. She explains the material expertly and offers practical advice. The length of the videos are just right. Lindsay’s calligraphy style is creative, classy, and beautiful. The examples she provides are challenging but doable. I highly recommend this course to anyone interested in developing calligraphy skills. I’m learning calligraphy for fun but I can certainly see why professionals would want to follow Lindsey’s work.

I am so glad that I discovered Lindsay and her Postman’s Knock calligraphy site. Having completed her original Beginner’s course, the obvious choice was to continue onto the intermediate one. What wasn’t obvious was our decision to move back to the U.K. from Florida. Now, firmly ensconced in a beautiful village in Northamptonshire, I’m delighted to say that despite a 4 month break, I’ve been able to pretty much pick up where I left off.
I.would like to reiterate what others have already said…that Lindsay is an excellent and confident tutor on her videos and then there is the hard copy to refer to, if needed…and you truly learn how to do elegant calligraphy…with lots of practice…

I love this course, Lindsey has a way of making you feel confident in what you are doing; that you have the ability to be more creative than you realize. I found the flourishing part very helpful and I reference the reference sheet many times when working on projects. Thanks Lindsey for another great course!

This intermediate course takes beginner skills and adds variation in supplies, bounces, and flourishes. This is the best way to step up your calligraphy to the next level. Step-by-step videos guide you through each concept and urges you to branch out and make it your own. The workbook is a great way to try out different inks, nibs, and pens by redoing the lessons with the variations.

This has been a wonderful course, working at my own pace (still not quite finished). Because it is videos and worksheets I have been able to skip parts I didn’t need (ie. guidance on writing each letter) and re-watch or print extra copies of more pertinent parts. I signed up for this course primarily to get better at flourishes, but I learned so much more! Organizing my inks and nibs was quite helpful. Lindsey has a plethora of tips she shares along the way. The comments are great to read. When I had an issue Lindsey got back to me with useful suggestions in just a few hours. In reading others’ comments, sometimes Lindsey even adds another video to really help us all learn from a distance. I highly recommend this video course to anyone who is already comfortable with basic calligraphy and wants to learn more!

I absolutely love this course. Lindsey is so generous with her knowledge. I’ve already started incorporating the flourished capitals into my work (on postcards, mail art and greeting cards) even though I haven’t finished the course yet. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to progress from beginner’s level. I’m not a professional but I think even professionals would benefit from this course. I’m also grateful that Lindsey made this course available online as it was only offered as in the past it was offered as an attendance class. Thank you ever so much Lindsey. Bless you

This course has everything you need to take your calligraphy to the next level. Lindsay is so detailed in her videos to help you better understand how the different nibs and inks work. She stresses the importance of knowing your tools so that you can have a better outcome when your writing. What you get with this course is worth 100 times more than what you pay for it. The worksheets and videos go together through each section to help guide you throughout the course. You won’t be disappointed getting this course.

I am thoroughly enjoying this course. I am in the early stages, but so far, I am delighted in the progression and reaffirmation of calligraphy lessons in this course and new tidbits. The videos are not lengthy and Lindsay is a great teacher! I look forward to the progression of taking my basic skills to the next level so that I can incorporate these different styles, inks in some new creative way!
