Description

Tired of boring calligraphy drills? Me, too. That’s why I created this marvelous printable calligraphy drills packet! To begin, you’ll need a standard calligraphy dip pen, a Nikko G nib, sumi or India ink, and a printer and paper. I highly recommend printing all TPK calligraphy drills and worksheets out on 32# laserjet paper (you can use laserjet paper in any printer).

What’s Included

Not Your Average Calligraphy Drills: Fairytale Edition is 14 pages long and includes:

  • Rectangular Drills (like “Mermaid Fins” and “Spindle”)
  • Square Drills (like “Pinocchio” and “Magic Carpet”)
  • Circular Drills (like “Peppermint”, “Enchanted Rose”, and “Dagger”)
  • Two Large Drills (“Fairy Wings” and “Lion”)
  • Dragon Drill (The pièce de résistance: A gorgeous flourished dragon that you can use for projects like mail art and greeting cards)

If you have any questions about TPK printable calligraphy drills and worksheet sets, feel free to get in touch with me or visit the FAQ page!

Got this for myself about a year ago. They are so fun and also give great flourishes for using in greeting cards / gift labels.

These drills are so much fun. They are extremely well thought out and really develops muscle memory. I wod recommend to anyone wanting to improve their calligraphy skills.

These are a fun way to practice your skills and not feel bored. You can really see how the different shapes and strokes that are drilled build your skills up for the more elaborate practice with the flourished figures (the dragon is my favorite, but the lion is a close second). This is one I’ve come back to several times when I’m looking for a fun way to practice.

The dragon is on my wall and everyday I walk past it I stop to admire it!!! It takes some time and LOTS of rotating the paper – but these drills and fun mini project’s have helped my calligraphy improve greatly! Thanks Lindsey!

I usually prefer to jump into a project than spend time refining my skills, but I just really love the whimsical drawings in this worksheet. The flourished butterfly, lion, and dragon are some of my favourite designs!
