Flourish Formal Style calligraphy is an elegant style with plenty of curls and flourishes. This worksheet set will teach you how to make unforgettable calligraphy that makes any envelope extraordinary! To begin, you’ll need a standard calligraphy dip pen, a Nikko G nib, sumi or India ink, and a printer and paper. I highly recommend printing TPK calligraphy worksheets out on 32# laserjet paper (you can use laserjet paper in any printer). It will be easiest to fill out this worksheet if you have taken the Beginner’s Modern Calligraphy Online Course, though many learners have worked through the worksheet without it.

The Flourish Formal Style calligraphy worksheet set underwent a complete redesign in February 2017, and it features the following:

I bought this worksheet set in March, 2021. It took me a few days of practice to get it right, but now I can embellish anything in this flourished style so easily! Not only is this font absolutely beautiful, but the worksheets are actually fun! I will certainly be purchasing and practicing more of TPK’s beautiful calligraphy styles. Thanks Lindsey!!!

This is the most gorgeous style. The worksheets are so easy to follow. Been practicing it since I bought it. I have fallen in love with calligraphy once again. Absolute beautiful. I am sure when I use it professionally, people will love it as much as I’m loving it. Thank you so much, Lindsey for this!

I think flourishes are so hard, but keeping this handy is super helpful.

This is my favorite calligraphy style that I continue to come back to again and again. It’s similar in many ways to my standard cursive handwriting, and therefore easy for me to translate with the oblique calligraphy pen and nib. For those looking to bring a slightly more fun and fancy style to their letters and calligraphy art, I highly recommend this kit.

This style has such a wonderful, individual touch! It is very decorative, but not in a way that makes it hard to read the words. The sheets are containing every exercise one can think of – letters, words, numbers, even the right way to link different letters can be practiced over and over again. I began my calligraphy journey here on this page. Years later this style is still my favorite, although I’ve come across lots of traditional and modern designs on m,y way. It never gets boring and whenever I use it for my personal communication, the reactions are positive.Everyone loves it, and it makes people feel special, more than any other style – even if it is only used for the address on an envelove.

This is the best way to start your calligraphy journey! Pick your favorite style and buy a worksheet! She has the perfect started sets too, calligraphy supplies can be hard to find and pricey if you don’t know what to buy!

I love the Flourish Formal Style of calligraphy. I have been doing calligraphy as a hobby for over thirty years – doing certificates for PlayCentre NZ and for Education & Training sessions attended for work, as well as cards. I needed something new to add to my repertoire and the Formal Flourish templates and worksheets fitted the bill nicely – SOOO much easier than the Community Centre classes on 6 Saturday mornings I took in 1988, with photocopied pages & heavy-lined guide-line pages to place underneath the working page to learn the angle & size of the different styles. I have photocopied the worksheets for ‘re-training’ when I need it, & my (adult) daughter has ‘borrowed’ a page or two as well. Certainly beats the computer-generated calligraphy when done in beautiful ink on heavy card stock.
