This self-paced Beginner’s Modern Calligraphy Online Course was recently re-done with the help of TPK Premium members, who took it lesson by lesson, gave me feedback as we went, and participated to make class discussions helpful for everyone. For that reason, this current iteration of the course is the very best yet. There are no time or demonstration constraints, so I am able to include absolutely everything that you need to know (and more)! On film, I am able to communicate concepts from different shooting angles, and you can pause and re-watch videos as needed. If you don’t quite understand how to do something, you can ask something in the comments section under each lesson (or, better yet, ask in the TPK Premium Discord). Lessons include a short quiz and, often, homework assignments. Here’s the course layout:

I have always had terrible handwriting but thanks to this course even my worst Calligraphy examples look pretty awesome! I am also using The Postman’s Knock Improve your Handwriting course to help but actually I think just going through the motions of these calligraphy exercises are helping my handwriting tremendously. Although I have not completed the course yet, I can honestly say I recommend it: the videos are detailed but still go along at a good pace, and the camera angles are excellent. Lindsay is a great teacher: knowlegeable, enthusiastic, and willing to pass along so many helpful bits of information.
